Meet Niko, a German Shepherd mix for adoption with a brave heart and a deeply loyal nature. This gentle German Shepherd rescue is athletic, affectionate, and eager to bond closely with his people, making him a wonderful loyal, protective shepherd mix and devoted companion.

Niko is friendly, playful, and highly food-motivated, which makes him an easy-to-train dog for adoption. He loves learning, enjoys treats, and thrives with structure and engagement. While he has an independent streak, he also adores cuddle time and staying close to his humans.

Currently enrolled in our Paws of Hope prison resident/rescue dog training initiative, Niko is building excellent manners and confidence as an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) candidate. He is kid-friendly and affectionate with people, and while he can do well with some dogs after proper introductions, he would thrive best in a single-dog household where he can be the center of attention.
